At this time we do not accept insurance however we are in the process of credentialing with multiple insurance providers. Our practice will be a bariatric speciality and billed under as such with applicable specialist copays.
We provide initial patient evaluations for $99 and follow up consultations for $49. We offer medical therapy to assist in weight loss such as GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP and phentermine/topiramate. For all patients but also those not interested in prescription medical therapy we can also provide nutrition, physical education counseling and motivational interviewing . We also provide chronic disease management for diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia.
FDA indications are BMI>30 or BMI>27 with one weight-related comorbid condition including hypertension, type 2 diabetes (or prediabetes), dyslipidemia, established cardiovascular disease, obstructive sleep apnea or fatty liver.
For new start patients there is more frequent follow up for tolerance and when determining whether to uptitrate medication dosage or keep at maintenance dose. These are in-person visits as this is best practice. Otherwise if at steady maintenance dose then visits can be every 3 to 6 months and as needed.
Please bring in a current list of medical providers, medications and labwork including complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, fasting lipid panel, and HgbA1C completed within the last year. If labwork has not been performed within the last year, we can call it in to be done prior to the initial visit so that it can be reviewed together in person.
